Tai Chi & Qi Gong

Gentle movement for greater balance, strength, confidence and calm.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong combine gentle, flowing movements with breathing, posture and mindful attention. These practices can support balance, mobility, coordination, strength and relaxation, while helping you feel more connected to your body and more confident in everyday movement.

My classes are welcoming, supportive and suitable for complete beginners. You do not need to be flexible, fit or experienced. Everything is explained clearly, and you are encouraged to move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Most importantly, the classes are relaxed and enjoyable. We learn together, laugh together and focus on progress rather than perfection.

In Association With
The British Tai Chi Academy

I am a trained instructor with the British Tai Chi Academy, and my classes are taught in association with the Academy.

I continue to learn under the guidance of Master Peter Fletcher, whose teaching and experience have played an important part in my development as a Tai Chi instructor.

The Academy provides professional training, guidance and continued development, helping instructors deliver structured, accessible and supportive Tai Chi for people of different ages, abilities and levels of experience.

What happens in class?

Each class includes reflexology, gentle warm-up movements, Tai Chi Yang style 8 movements, Qi Gong exercises, balance and coordination work, and time to slow down and reconnect with your body.

The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. There is no pressure to keep up, and movements can be adapted where needed. You will be encouraged to learn at your own pace, ask questions and enjoy the experience.

The benefits of Tai Chi and Qi Gong

Tai Chi and Qi Gong offer a gentle, low-impact way to support physical and mental wellbeing.

With regular practice, they may help to:

  • improve balance and coordination

  • build strength and stability

  • support mobility and posture

  • increase confidence in movement

  • reduce tension and encourage relaxation

  • improve focus and body awareness

Because the movements are slow and adaptable, classes are suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. Everyone is encouraged to work at their own pace and within a comfortable range of movement.

The aim is not perfection—it is to feel steadier, calmer and more confident in your body.
