"I believe movement and exercise should never feel intimidating. They should be welcoming, enjoyable and
something people genuinely look forward to."

My journey into health and wellbeing began over a decade ago through my own personal transformation. Today, I help people improve balance, confidence and wellbeing through Tai Chi, Qi Gong and specialist movement classes in a welcoming, supportive and enjoyable environment.

My Story

My journey into health and wellbeing began over a decade ago, inspired by my own personal transformation. Through regular exercise and healthier lifestyle choices, I discovered how movement could change not only the body, but confidence, resilience and overall wellbeing.

That journey led me into the fitness industry, where I've spent many years helping people of all ages become stronger, healthier and more confident. Along the way I qualified as a Personal Trainer, Exercise to Music Instructor, Zumba Instructor and Kettlebell Instructor, always believing that movement should be enjoyable, supportive and accessible.

Supporting People With Parkinson's

Over the past eight years, my passion has naturally evolved. I’ve had the privilege of delivering specialist exercise classes for people living with Parkinson’s in partnership with Bigger & Better Fighting Back Against Parkinson’s, supporting people to improve their balance, mobility, strength and confidence.

Seeing first-hand how movement can transform lives has been one of the greatest privileges of my career and has shaped the way I teach today.

Some new participants may first speak with Emma, the Occupational Therapist, or the Bigger & Better team to help make sure the classes are suitable for their individual needs.

My Own Journey

My own life also took an unexpected turn when I underwent a hip replacement. Recovering from major surgery gave me a deeper understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that many people face.

Experiencing rehabilitation first-hand reinforced my belief that movement should nurture the body rather than punish it. It reminded me that progress isn't about being the fastest or the strongest—it's about taking small steps, rebuilding confidence and celebrating every achievement along the way.

That experience has made me an even more compassionate instructor and continues to shape the way I support every person who walks through my door.

Discovering Tai Chi & Qi Gong

Today, my journey has naturally led me to Tai Chi and Qi Gong.

As an instructor with the British Tai Chi Academy, I've found a practice that perfectly reflects everything I believe about health and wellbeing. Tai Chi isn't simply about slow movements—it's about improving balance, reducing stress, building strength, increasing confidence and helping people move with greater ease through everyday life.

Harmony Health & Beyond was created to bring all of these experiences together, offering a welcoming space where people can improve their health, reconnect with their bodies and discover the many physical and mental benefits of mindful movement.

My Approach

I believe movement and exercise should never feel intimidating. They should be enjoyable, uplifting and something people genuinely look forward to.

Whether you're stepping into your very first Tai Chi class or returning to movement after many years, you'll always be welcomed with kindness, patience and encouragement. There is no pressure to be perfect—only the opportunity to learn, grow and enjoy the journey at your own pace.

My classes are relaxed, friendly and, most importantly, fun. We work together, laugh together and celebrate every step forward, no matter how small. I believe people learn best when they feel comfortable, supported and able to be themselves.

My hope is that every person leaves class feeling calmer, stronger and more confident than when they arrived—not just physically, but mentally too.

Because movement isn't simply about exercise.

It's about living well.
